A composite herbal formulation named ‘Perfomax’ that has been developed by India’s DRDO and has been found to improve physical and mental performance in High Altitude and Hypoxic Conditions at a function held in Leh, Ladakh today. The formulation is rich in antioxidants and other bioactive compounds that improve performance of brain, heart, kidney and lungs and improves blood circulation. Google Wallet launched for consumers in New York and San Francisco area

Google launched its mobile payment platform Google Wallet, allowing consumers in New York and San Francisco pay for store purchases using their smart phones. Google Wallet started trial operations in May, with a system that lets shoppers store money on phones and pay at checkout. Google's payment system competes with payment systems of some of the top US banks and mobile phone companies and uses near-field communication (NFC) technology, used widely in Asia.

India’s Reliance and Siemens join hands for homeland security solutions business

Reliance Security Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd., (RIL) and Siemens Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop homeland security solutions for safe, secure and smart cities and highways in India.
The Indian security market is expected to be one of the largest growing markets in the world over the next decade and this initiative will result in India joining a select set of advanced nations which are beginning to use 4G wireless networks for law enforcement purposes.

RBI directs bank not to recover pre-payment charges on floating rate loans

Prepaying housing loan gets a lot more easier as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed banks not to recover pre-payment charges in floating rate loans. Banks must not recover pre-payment charges in floating rate loans. Banks may also offer long-term fixed rate housing loans to their customers and address their asset liability mismatch (ALM) issues by recourse to the Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) market.
